The pracs this week
were the beginning of our focus on Actionscript 3 and Flash. I spent the first
session looking through Flash tutorials on Blackboard, on getting familiar with
the Adobe Flash CS6 interface (the software used to develop in Actionscript). I
experimented with creating a rectangle object and interacting with it via mouse
to display a text message.
In the second prac,
I began working through the Pong tutorial on Blackboard, which allowed us to
create a simple Pong game in Actionscript 3. The tutorial also introduced us to
classes and the use of them in object-oriented programming.
